Santorini

The magnificent Santorini archipelago, at the heart of the Cyclades in the Aegean Sea.

The islands that make up the archipelago can be distinguished: Santorini (Thira) with its caldera cliffs plunging into the sea, Thirasia opposite, and the volcanic islets of Nea Kameni and Palaia Kameni at the centre of the lagoon. Also visible are the clifftop villages of Oia and Fira, perched on the crater's edge, and the black sand beaches shaped by centuries of volcanic eruptions.
